BUCHEN-ICS offers a range of specialist reactor services alongside its catalyst handling
Our specialist services
We can offer a variety of other services while completing our reactor work including organising the transport and treatment of the spent catalyst, unloading and loading the reactor, regenerating or screening the material as well as performing other kinds of mechanical work.
Nitrogen services
Rapid cool-down
- Controlled feed of liquid nitrogen
- Amount of time saved depends on the performance of the closed circuit gas compressor
- Monitoring of the temperature of the reactor walls
Hot stripping
- Using hot nitrogen to flush out and remove the hydrocarbons
- Drying the catalyst and reactor
Creating inert environments

Spent catalyst waste management
BUCHEN-ICS also handles the on-site storage, transport and further processing of the spent catalyst in cooperation with BUCHEN UmweltService GmbH. All statutory and regulatory measures regarding the collection, transport, storage and treatment of the material are taken into account at all times. BUCHEN fulfils all the requirements set out in the ‘EfbV’ [Ordinance on Specialised Waste Management Companies] regarding organisation, facilities, expertise and reliability and guarantees a high quality performance in all areas of waste management – both for spent catalyst and other materials.
